Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8

Samsung completely changed direction with the Galaxy Z Fold 8, and honestly, it is a breath of fresh air. Instead of making another tall, skinny phone that feels like a TV remote in your pocket, they went with a shorter, wider shape that resembles a passport. It fits in your hand much better, and typing on the front screen actually feels like using a normal smartphone for once.

When you open it up, the crease in the middle is practically invisible. Movies and YouTube videos look amazing because the wider inner screen cut down on those massive black bars you usually see on foldables. It is also crazy fast thanks to the new processor, and the battery easily lasts you through a full day of heavy use.

That said, Samsung had to cut a few corners to get it this slim and light. You do not get a dedicated zoom camera, so taking pictures from far away relies on digital crop, which falls short for a phone at this price. It can also get a bit warm when you play heavy games for too long, and it still does not have high end dust protection. But if you want a massive tablet screen that genuinely fits in a front pocket without weighing you down, this is easily the most fun foldable around.
