"At $9,999, is it time to buy the LiveWire S2 Del Mar?"
This is a question I have been asking myself lately. Right now I am riding a Super SOCO TC Max, but it has its limits. The range is just not good enough, and having zero access to public charging means I am always worrying about getting stranded.
10k is a lot of money for a motorcycle. Period. But when you look at what the LiveWire S2 Del Mar gives you at $9,999, the math starts to make a whole lot of sense.
When this bike first came out, it was over fifteen grand, which was way too steep for me. Dropping it down to ten grand completely changes the game. It takes it out of that crazy luxury range and puts it right next to regular gas bikes.
The best part for me is that it solves every single problem I have with my TC Max.
First, public charging. On my TC Max, I am stuck looking for standard wall outlets. The Del Mar lets me pull up to regular Level 2 public chargers at the store or gym, plug in, and get most of my battery back in about an hour. That alone opens up so much freedom.
Second, the range is actually usable. Instead of constantly watching my battery drain, the Del Mar gives me over 100 miles in the city and around 50 to 70 miles on the highway. I can finally just go out and ride without that constant range anxiety.
The speed is on another level, too. Moving from a lightweight commuter bike to something that hits 0 to 60 in 3 seconds is going to be a total blast.
Ten thousand dollars is still a big chunk of change. But if you are coming from something limited like the TC Max and want real range, public charging, and serious performance, at $9,999, I think it is finally time to pull the trigger.
