Ebike Journey (Part 2)
So I picked an ebike. I think it sets a balance between price performance and features. It has a lot of things I like and a few I wish I could change. I went with the RadRover 5 (there is a newer one, but this one saves me a bit on the price). The sizeable 26×4 inch tires are great, the 750w motor has plenty of power for my needs, the controls are easy to use, and the integrated front and rear light work well. It is a massive bike, I’m 6 feet 2 inches, and I feel small next to it. I’ve changed the seat and grips to brown leather and to get a better, softer cushion to sit on. I’ve also added a rear rack and bag.
I’ve gotten used to pedaling, but the throttle gets me moving for the most part. I wish it had a more robust horn and better brakes, but everything else works for me.
